NOX OSCULUM
Nox Osculum, Latin for 'night kiss,' is a debut EP album consisting of 4 tracks with a speed of 155-160 bpm. By immersing myself in this genre and attending many raves, I have discovered that these speeds stimulate me the most. You'll find me at the front row. Each track creates a different atmosphere and tells a unique story, highlighting my broad taste within the techno genre and appealing to multiple souls. The cover art is created by the wonderful Joshua Vansteenhuyse. Each track has a visualization, and when these are layered, they form the album cover.

Tells the story of a warrior who embarks on an adventure to defeat his greatest archenemy. During his journey, he encounters obstacles and duels with various foes. The samurai faces every challenge and grows stronger. Along his journey, he confronts his deepest fears and demons and realizes that there's an even a greater enemy: himself. When the warrior confronts his archenemy, he drops his sword and realizes that a strong mindset is the greatest weapon in life. Every challenge can be faced and overcome by a strong, balanced spirit driven primarily by hope and love. Fight every day, pursue your dreams, and live in the moment. The movie 'The Last Samurai' has provided me with inspiration. The way they portray the mindset and lifestyle of the true samurai in the movie has instilled in me a profound admiration for these warriors. For this track, Brecht De Cock has created a vibrant music video/party visual that perfectly complements the speed and narrative of the song.

Tells the story of a historical phenomenon known as the 'dancing plague'. Several dance epidemics are said to have occurred. In 1518, one took place in Strasbourg, where an individual named Trauffea initiated the events. Hundreds of citizens seemingly went mad and took to the streets, dancing in ecstasy. They continued dancing until they collapsed from exhaustion with bleeding feet – and died. Dancers spurred others to join in, turning it into a phenomenon. The people believed it to be a punishment from God, but I myself see it as a release from suffering. Dancing releases a unique energy and is contagious in a positive way. Dancing and listening to music clear the mind and immerse you in the moment. Dance as if there's no tomorrow.

Tells the story of fluctuations where melodies are combined with techno elements. When I first heard 'Varpulis' by Charlotte De Witte, I felt that techno could bring me to my essence. Fluctus means 'wave' in Latin. Music is waves with peaks and troughs, and that's how I experience life too. Enjoy the peaks, but also embrace the troughs. After every low comes a high, and vice versa. Dare to embrace every emotion. Stability tries to lessen the intensity of the waves, but fluctuations are necessary for growth and evolution. Don't remain stagnant; dare to fail and learn, because this enables you to get closer to your true self, your core. Close your eyes and sway through life. Music shouldn't just make you forget, but also make you pause, literally with yourself, the people around you, your dreams, and passions. Follow your dreams and manifest what your gut feeling tells you, because anything is possible!

Tells the story of a soulmate who has had a profound impact on who I am as a person and how I approach life. He introduced me to the world of techno and helped me discover the immense passion I have for it, allowing me to channel my emotions through it. When people share passions, they create exceptional connections that last a lifetime. His critical mindset and personality encouraged me to keep experimenting. "Max" is the first techno track I completed and truly felt. The most crucial lessons I learned from him are: a strong foundation is paramount, simplicity often reigns supreme, and be unexpected. His passion and drive for music infuse me with energy and motivation. Surrounding yourself with individuals who chase their dreams, offer support, and believe in you is invaluable. The people you choose to have around you hold significant influence over your personal growth and development. Thank you, Maxim. I love you.
